Wilhelmina served as a BEAM volunteer for several years before joining the Board in an official capacity in 2022. She considers herself a servant leader who strives to better any team in which she is a part and volunteers her talents to several organizations throughout the community.  

A native of Portland, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Colorado State University where she became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. A dedicated member of her Sisterhood, she has served the organization for twenty years on the local, state, and regional level, most notably as the Oregon State Director from 2014 – 2022.

Professionally, Wilhelmina Proby is a Manager at NW Natural in Portland, Oregon. She has more than 25 years of customer service and leadership experience. In her time with NW Natural, Wilhelmina has worked in many capacities. An advocate for diversity and inclusion, she served on the NW Natural DE&I Council from 2015 – 2018, two years of which as co-chair. In 2020 she became an inaugural co-chair of the NW Natural African American Employee Resource Group.
