About B SMART

At the heart of the BEAM Village lies a simple yet radical belief: that the brilliance of Black youth is the most undervalued asset in our economy. The B SMART Program (Black Strategic Mentorship & Achievement for Resilient Transformation) was born from a necessity to turn that brilliance into sustainable, wealth-generating power.

Our Vision: A Legacy of Ownership

We aren’t just a training program; we are a workforce development ecosystem. We recognize that for aspiring and rising Black entrepreneurs, the "playing field" isn't just tilted—it often lacks the necessary infrastructure. B SMART provides the foundation, the scaffolding, and the community to ensure our participants don't just start businesses—they scale legacies.

Why We Exist

Traditional workforce development often stops at employment. B SMART goes further by focusing on entrepreneurial equity. We aim to dismantle the systemic barriers that have historically limited access to capital and networks for Black creators.

By equipping young adults with high-level business acumen and a "village" of support, we are:

  • Closing the Wealth Gap: Moving from hourly wages to equity and ownership.

  • Strengthening the Local Economy: Supporting businesses that hire within the community.

  • Cultivating Leaders: Shaping the next generation of CEOs, innovators, and philanthropists.

The B SMART Approach

Strategic Mastery: We move beyond the "side hustle." Participants learn the mechanics of business—from legal compliance and financial forecasting to digital transformation and brand storytelling.

We believe in a "high-touch, high-impact" model. Our curriculum is built on three unbreakable pillars:

Community Resilience: Entrepreneurship can be a lonely road. We foster a peer-to-peer network where rising leaders can share resources, trade services, and build the collaborative partnerships necessary for long-term survival.

Mentorship & Access: We bridge the gap between "who you know" and "what you know." Through our network, entrepreneurs are paired with industry veterans who provide the roadmap to avoid common pitfalls.
