Dear Investor in Black Youth Success,

Our mission is simple and unwavering: to equip Black students with the knowledge, networks, and confidence they need to thrive far beyond high school. BEAM created the Black Student Success Summit (BSSS) to directly confront the persistent gaps in access, opportunity, and support that Oregon’s Black students continue to face.

The Summit is a full‐day, high‐impact experience featuring workshops on academic achievement, college readiness, career pathways, financial literacy, media literacy, and essential life skills. Every session is led by Black professionals whose lived experiences reflect those of our students—creating a learning environment that is culturally grounded, relevant, and deeply empowering.

On April 18, 2026, we will proudly host the 12th Annual Black Student Success Summit, at Portland State University, 1825 SW Broadway Ave., in the Smith Memorial Student Union. As we continue a legacy of preparing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and change‐makers.

We NEED your partnership

BEAM’s impact is only possible because of committed community partners, volunteers, and public and private sector champions. When support grows, our capacity to serve grows—and our students feel the difference. Your investment does more than fund a program; it sends a powerful message that Black youth are valued, supported, and surrounded by a community that believes in their brilliance. Transforming educational culture is a monumental task, but together, we can ensure that Black students have every resource, every opportunity, and every pathway they deserve. We invite your organization to join us as a partner, sponsor, or community benefactor for the 12th Annual Black Student Success Summit. Your support is not just appreciated—it is essential. Enclosed is the BSSS Commitment Form for your consideration. Sincerely,

Noni Causey, Executive Director
